What is the VAPP?

VAPP, or validation of personal and professional experience, is a system specific to higher education.

It enables anyone who does not have the required diploma or qualification to gain direct access to a post-bac course (leading to a national diploma) provided by the University, which grants the validation following the advice of a pedagogical commission.

With the exception of top-level sportsmen and women, candidates who do not hold the baccalauréat or a qualification qualifying for exemption must have interrupted their initial studies for at least two years and be at least twenty years old on the date they intend to resume their studies.

Candidates who have been enrolled in a course of study and who have not passed the tests required to gain access to the next year of study may not submit a validation request for admission to that year of study for a period of three years (article D 613.40 of the French Education Code).

For which diplomas?

Any RNCP-registered diploma offered by the University of Rouen Normandy.

Cost of the VAPP: The VAPP is a free procedure. If the VAPP is accepted, the candidate must pay the university registration fees for the course, as well as any professional training fees (ask for a quote).

How does it work?

VAPP applications are examined directly by each pedagogical manager.
